We also have Facebook pages Doll Universe, Antique Doll, and Dr. R. We are on Flickr under Ellen Tsagaris, and ISSUU as Old Dolls. Our other Twitter account is Old Dolls. On Instagram, we are ellen_tsagaris. In keeping with our new non profit name, we've changed the name of this blog. All we need now is the building!!

Where is the swaddled doll from?
ReplyDeleteThis is a photo from my old archives, originally, I believe in the British Musem. It is an 18th C. carved doll, probably put together in the swaddled cradle by a Native American women. The Native Americans of the 18th and 19th c. sometimes used European or handmade local dolls that they traded for to dress as examples of their own costumes and customs. I really appreciate your comment!
