We have all in place for our doll museum; we need a building. We held two, modest fundraisers through Facebook and Kickstarter; we thank all who contributed! I priced one lovely old building at $1million.2, and several others with fifteen rooms or more at $115. There are a couple old library buildings I am interested in, but the library simply won't deal. Also saw some small neighborhood storefronts, not enough room, but a start.
I'm also considering turning a family home I own into the museum for a while; checking zoning laws, etc. on this. Also thinking of buying a steel building and lining it with cases. I have many cases from the Planetary Studies Foundation, and several of my own, including open shelves nad other displays.
Our modest savings fund is growing, and our paperwork as a nonprofit is up to date. Pray hard for us to find a building, please! Thanks for all your support and donations! We are nearly 200,000 views on this blog and Dr. E's Doll Museum Blog. We also started the International Doll Museum blog, and Dr.E's Doll Museum blogs in Japanese, Spanish, and Greek. Happy Collecting!!
